Happy New Year! The holidays were hard, but not as hard as last year. We put your stocking up again and filled it with treats for Lili. Your ornaments were hung on the tree. I added a new one of you, a watercolor, this year. I don’t think the Charlie Brown Christmas tree is big enough for the ornaments anymore. Maybe next year we will have to get a slightly bigger tree.

I dreamed about you last night. Thank you for visiting me. I was walking through the door and you were there to greet me and you let me give you lots of hugs and pets. I don’t remember much more of the dream, but I woke up with happy tears this morning over your visit. I hope 2025 is filled with you coming to visit me in my dreams. It’s the only time you get to be with me anymore.

I miss having you with me. I miss having you curl up by my legs at night. I miss our morning walks, though to be honest, with the recent cold we had, I’m ok with not going out. But we have snow. You liked the snow. Do you remember the times when I would throw snowballs at you for you to catch? You liked that game.

Lili is doing well. There is a new medicine that is helping her with her arthritis and she is starting to run around like a younger pup again. I wish we would have been able to do the same for you. I wish there was something we could have done to taken away your pain and made you better.
